Hey Aurelius,

Since you’ve raised the topic of business books, I’m wondering how many of your subscribers also know that they can now also instantly download business audio books to their computers which they can then also transfer to mp3 players or burn to cds so that they can listen to them anywhere, anytime and while doing other things. There are many people that don’t realise this yet.

I actually have a downloadable audio book store which has great business audio books like ‘The Magic of Thinking Big’, ‘E Myth Mastery’, ‘As a Man Thinketh’, ‘The Science of Getting Rich’, ‘The Secret’ and many more relevant titles including titles specifically related to the internet, leadership, motivation, management, marketing etc., etc. Hours and hours of great learning material.

Since I am always receiving great value from you (just as I am sure everyone else on your list does) and since it’s Christmas time, I thought I’d give some value back by offering everyone here a 10% discount off the price of all audio books until 31st December. There’s over 250 audio books just in the business category and over 800 in the personal development category. Hope that’s ok for me to do Aurelius.

So exclusive only for Aurelius’ subscribers – to get the discount, type in ‘MYVOUCHER’ when prompted at the shopping cart.

The business audio books catalog can be accessed at:-

http://www.leadingaudiobooksresources.com/catalog_business.pdf

or by visiting the actual audio book site at:-

http://www.leading-audiobooks.com

and remember to type in the code ‘MYVOUCHER’ to ensure you get the 10% discount.

Audio books are great for busy business people who don’t have time to sit down and read and they really help optimise and save valuable time.

Thanks again for all the great information you provide Aurelius.
Happy Christmas to you and to everyone on this list … and happy listening too!

Fantastic books. I really like the way you recommended them in video format. The Art of the Start by Kawasaki is an easy read for anyone starting any new business and how to get funding.

8 Rick Carter December 12, 2007 at 4:03 pm

“First Things First” by Stephen Covey – helps to prioritize based on your principles. I read this when my twins were in the NICU, so it really hit home.
“Atlas Shrugged” by Ayn Rand – well, I’m still slogging through it (it’s a big book).
“How To Make 6 Figures On Line” by Jimmy D. Brown – the first internet marketing book I read. Inspiring and motivating in a realistic way.

Aurelius,

Great list, sounds like you’ve got quite the library going. “Think and grow rich” by Napoleon Hill is one of my favorites. I’ve got all of Seth Godin’s books too.

A newer book that I definitely recommend for anyone who wants to get insider techniques into creating viral campaigns is, “Made to Stick.” I’ve found it very insightful and the book gave me a ton of new ideas.

12 Aurelius Tjin December 12, 2007 at 9:53 pm

Thanks Tali. I prefer making communicating in video most of the times.

Great list Rich. Jimmy D. Brown’s the man. I love the way he teaches.

I bought the Rich Jerk when it first came out and forgot about it ever since.

Comprehensive list Malka. Thanks! Tipping Point is good.

Matthew – Good to see another Seth Godin fan :) He’s so good at telling stories. He relates everything he teaches to a story. Very powerful. I must get “Made to Stick” now. Cheers!

13 Emrick December 12, 2007 at 10:10 pm

Hi Aurelius,
Thanks for the input. I am reading Think and Grow Rich.
Yes, of course, the classic: Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D Wattles; really worth reading it; didn’t age that much either!
I also recommend Conversations with Millionaires by Mike Litman and Jason Oman. This book is full of useful info and the mindful approaches to “think rich.” Take heed!
Success and Happiness to all!
Emrick

14 Aurelius Tjin December 12, 2007 at 10:22 pm

Thanks Emrick. Yes, Conversations with Millionaires is a great book. Tragically, Jason Oman isn’t well. He’s recovering from an illness.

Thanks for your offer, Katie. The “E-myth” is an excellent book. An audio version is even better if you’re on the run.

I hope everyone considers Katie’s generous offer. She is offering 10% off on any audio book at http://www.leading-audiobooks.com

Start using the forum aurelius, And finish reading the book its a good one

17 Aurelius Tjin December 13, 2007 at 11:30 am

Thanks Alan :)

I’ve read the Rich Jerk already. Good for starters. Good refresher for people who’ve been in this game for some time now. The forum would be good though. I don’t spend much time on forums. Sometimes it can consume a lot of your time if you’re not using it in a “productive manner”.

18 Alan Potter December 13, 2007 at 3:48 pm

Thanks. I scan the forum when I have a break from “work”. There is a lot of useful info in there so its good to go there every once in a while.

19 Aurelius Tjin December 17, 2007 at 9:14 pm

Just went to the bookstore and bought “The Magic of Thinking Big, David J. Schwartz”. Thanks to Anthony Burch who recommended it.

My all time favorite is “how to sleep less and be more active”. Great book, mainly for Full time online workers like us. Aurelius Tjin , I came to your blog via your comments in other blogs. I read one of your ebooks when I first started online 3 years ago. Recently I find your comments in many blogs and so came to your blog and was very useful.

21 Aurelius Tjin December 19, 2007 at 1:43 am

Thanks for that book recommendation. Not sure what your name is.

One of my ebooks three years ago, huh? I started out about that time as well.

Thanks for your kind comments.

Tony Robbins’ Awaken the Giant Within. It alerted me to the power of questions, and questions has been the foundation of my personal development work ever since.

I love Jim Collins’ Good to Great too. It is beginning to influence my every business decision now.

28 Aurelius Tjin February 6, 2008 at 10:35 am

@ Mohamad: “Tony Robbins’ Awaken the Giant Within.” – Yes, I’ve read this one quite a while ago. Pretty thick book.

What an interesting way to get people interested in reading! Book trailers are like movie trailers, but for books! You can find them all over the internet now, but here is a site that’s featuring them on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/booktrailers

If you haven’t checked out book trailers, or if you want to see some really cools ones I’ve found a few places that are really good. My favorite is on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/booktrailers, but I also like the new ones on the BN.com site at http://www.bn.com and go to the BN Studio, and I love the Borders Media site too. VidLits are pretty cool http://www.vidlits.com. http://www.youtube.com/booktrailers

@ Rasya – Yes, thanks. I like doing video, and I’m not too intimidated by doing it.
