I have a product – a very good and informative one – an I have bought and downloaded the competitor products, and they really don’t compare…
I have a website – which tells you why I developed the product, and how it can help all of those people who suffer from headaches.
I have done the PPC campaigns and got about 0.5% Click throughs.
Finally, from thousands of visitors, only a handful have even taken the free ebook – which is also very helpful and informative – and almost nobody has actually bought the product!
I need help to market the product in a way which actually makes sales.

Like Jens I find the biggest hurdle to creating a product online is the unmittigating fact that there is just so much recycled and regurgitated rubbish out there. Being unique is definately an issue.
The next is the knowledge of ‘if I create something that has a ring to it which is somewhat similar to another product, where do I legally stand on copyright issues’.
Both of these problems are not just related to the Internet Marketing Niche, they go for all markets you can think of.

This problem is getting anyone to buy it.

My most pressing issue is how do you know what to create that will sell? What research do you do to make sure what you are creating is what people will buy and that is unique from similar products on the market.

Biggest challenge is obtaining a high quality eye-catching graphic associated with the product.
Apart from that, marketing it to the masses is the biggest problem. If nobody knows it exists, then it wont sell.

My burning question is how to write a profit pulling sales letter. I can write the product just fine, but I can’t seem to get my sales letters to convert worth squat.

A big thing these days is to repackage IM related PLR ebooks, slap your own name on it, give it new graphics,find a bunch of bonuses you can find everywhere else, create a sales page and promote.
I am uncomfortable positioning or claiming I am a successful IM expert because it is not true. Also, I have been suckered too many times by buying something I thought was new only to find the same old regurgitated information that already clutters my hard drive.
So I haven’t created my own product because I have no fresh and effective tactics to offer.It’s important to me to maintain a certain level of integrity if I am to put my name on a product.

I have spent the past few months doing serious data-mining to get at the true heart of what is going on in the IM world. My initial impulse was to go through an affiliate model of income generation, but after the research I’ve done, I’m firmly convinced that I have to start creating my own product[s].
The consciousness and awareness level of people already on the net and newbies coming online tells me that with the massive overload of information, the future models for making money are about to change. Gone are the models where you as an affiliate can just regurgitate someone elses info and products and sell, sell, sell. There’s just way too much info out there, too many people doing it, too much good content out there and too little time to read it all.
Content is where it has always been and will always be. I personally can no longer afford to read emails that constantly advertise other people’s products. If I can’t get good content from someone within 3 emails, they are unsubscribed. It is the only way I can stop wasting my time with “sales promos” and find the content I need to get ahead.
This is why after all the research I have done over the past year actually, I am at the same place within – I need to get pro-active with my own content. I am starting to begin the process right now.

I market to a specific nitch market and have several products of my own for sale as well as affiliate’s products for sale. My most burning question, is how can I get my nitch market list to keep buying from me?
I send out a monthly ezine as well as emails on a bi weekley basis. I fear that if I contact my list TOO much – they will get bothered and not buy from me or remove themselves from my list.
What can you suggest to get my existing customers to buy more from me and get the free subscribers who are just reading my e-zines and NEVER buying anything from me to BUY FROM ME?

My roadblock to creating my own product is I have contracted a serious case of “Information Overload”
Being new to online marketing I have purchased many products, ebooks and programs that promise to help one get started making money online fast. However, many of these products are geared more to people with experience in online marketing and do not actually make it easy for new people with no knowledge or experience. So we buy the next one that gives us “Hope”…and the next…and the next… None seem to actually teach us from A to Z what we need to know to get started. So we lose focus, get confused and realize we have so much information but don’t really know where to start or what to do next…This confusion causes proscrastination which in turns cause poor to know results in our progress.
Aurelius, as one I have the highest respect for as being seriously interested in helping others succeed, my answer to your question is: “Information Overload”
