I am eager to learn how I can increase value to my product specially if it is acquired through private label rights. I would assume that others would be too lazy to even edit parts of the book itself. I would also like to learn how to create a video or an audio product. I feel that my own voice is not good enough to record or I am not good enough to shot myself doing something. I also feel that because I am an asian would make a big difference to the attractiveness of my own product due to discrimination.

Thanks in advance for your help.

My most pressing problem is actually writing. I can do all the research fine, but when it comes to actually writing the infoproduct, I get completely stuck. Well, I do well at writing about technical subjects, but more everyday ones are scaryier.

While creating an info product isn’t my most pressing problem, I do have a question.

Once you have taken action and created your sparkling new info product, what, in your opinion, would be the best method for getting your “brand” noticed. . . .Charging for a copy of your product, or. . . .Giving it away free of charge to create a viral insurgence?

    Thanks,

    Tracy

    My most pressing question is:
“How do I protect my idea from being stolen?”
    Thank You.

Which products out there do you recommend that we could use to create a secure pdf and create and/or edit ebook cover graphics that work as good as (or even better than) Adobe?

I have created a product and want to be able to use something that doesn’t cost hundreds of dollars to do the above so that I can also recommend those resources to the “newbie” that doesn’t have a large bankroll to spend to get their business online.

Thank-you for over delivering as usual! You’re the best!

I have a suggestion for Dave Offen:

When you have a great idea for a product, and you find another product out there, improve upon it – create your own product with a twist: you’re spin on how you made it work for you (and/or add more relavent content to your product).

We all buy multiple products on the same subject. Sometimes I’ll buy 2 or 3 ebooks on the same subject because not everyone writes in a way that I can relate to. And I’ll usually find a golden nugget in one ebook that’s not offered in the other ones.

    Hope that helps.

My biggest thing about product creation is once I have it, how do I get JV partners to promote it if I am new?

I know this to be one of the best strategies for a big launch, but always feel that since I am new, why would someone that is already established want to promote my product.

*To answer others’ question though, I created a free report and started giving them away on forums and other membership clubs that I am involved in. Then, people started going to my squueze page to get the free report, which actually sells the main ebook.

This is what Aurelius does, as he mentioned he is giving this away to eventually launch his bigger product creation product!

My biggest problem is information overload. With
all the tons and tons of giveaway and the fear of missing out. How do you stay focused? By the time
    I downloaded this…read that…installed this…
I forget what my original intentions were.

I often am at a loss of what the market needs and how i should cater to their needs. Also, i am not confident that what i will be putting in my product will be worth asking for a price as they might be commonly known to most already.

Creating a product from scratch is very challenging and tough, especially you sell it online. And how we roll out the plan is another problem.

  13. Mary says:

“Yes, Aurelius! Give me a free copy” What is stopping me from even beginning my product creation is that I get stuck on what is the best product to create. I have read about how to find topics that people are interested in, but I don’t want to rehash stuff that people have already had their fill of. So I get hung up on topic selection. My product of choice would be in eBook format, because I am a writer. Then, I see comments that you really need audio and you really need video (neither of which I am prepared to do), and I get stuck because I feel overwhelmed. So, I guess I’m overwhelmed on both topic selection and product format.

1)How do you do the research to find out if there is a market for your product?

2)Should the product be an e-book, cd,dvd? I have heard that cd’s may be taken more seriously than an e-book for example.

3)Why should anyone listen to you? So how do you establish yourself as the expert?

    Greetings.

“Yes, Aurelius! Give me a free copy”,

To me the main missing ingredient is a step by step course of action as in a.b.c. or even 1.2.3. Maybe it would be a piece of software leading one through the process, or else a mapped out course of action to the end info product. I think it may be called inspiration. Of course knowledge gives inspiration. Good luck 2 all readers, M.

  22. Terri says:

Yes, please give me a copy.

After many years of ‘wanting’ I decided to just ‘do it’. I made my Web 2.0 PDF, video and MP3. I purchased the RAP script from Sid Hale, learned how to use Dreamweaver, and stopped reading all the emails and losing focus. Every day I made a list of what I need to do and did it. Did it take longer than I expected? Yes. But now I know how to do everything so I can decide what to outsource the next time. I launch my home health care product next week, and I won’t stop until I get affiliates, JVs, and customers! What I find lacking with all of the Internet Marketing coaches is that they just don’t make a video of someone starting a product from scratch. I have over 20 years experience in elearning and instructional design and this is where you all go wrong. I’d love to work with someone to put together a course teaching how to put together a product – from product inception to launch. It would help a lot of people because this is what everyone needs – a hands on step by step approach of what they should do.

My problems for not completing my product(which I do have an idea and have started on the product but was delayed by fear of failure as well as looking for perfection):

    1. Either I do not have enough specialised knowledge on the passion that I have or that there is no demand for the information on the topic of my passion or interest.

    2. How to create a product that has a lot of demand but I do not have the specialised knowledge nor proof to back me up as an authority for that topic.

    3. Not knowing the most efficient way to get JV partners that have the right list of potential customers for my product.

    Thanks,

“Yes, Aurelius! Give me a free copy”,

I have one niche site running to a very small market. This site has not had one week that it has lost money. It only averages out making between $10 to $20 per day. I run a PPC ad and the $10 to $20 per day is after taking out the cost of PPC.

I do all of my own work. I do the graphics, web site, PPC campaigns and even wrote the e-book. This site is certainly not going to free me from the 9 to 5 grind. But I consider a site that stays in the black, no matter how much, a successful site.

Here is my problem. Since the creation of this site and not many options for an up-sell in this particular market. I have hit a wall. The market I am selling to is an area I knew something about. Now I need to come up with new markets and ideas. I know about market and keyword research, but that knowledge is useless without any ideas to research.

So what I would like to see is a step by step system on how to find ideas for a viable markets. Actually that is probably the wrong way to say that. I think, being able to see a possible market in an idea is more mindset than a system. So maybe a system to train your mind to be able to see possible markets in different things you look at.

That is probably an impossible task but I wish it could be done. I know that is how the successful online marketers make big money. They can go in a book store or look at a magazine rack and come up with all kinds of product ideas. How can I develop that kind of mindset?

I am wanting to write an ebook on an original idea I have but I get writers block everytime I try to get started. Also, are there sites devoted to the sales of just ebooks – not free sites but where you can actually purchase from unknown authors?

  26. Dennis Edell says:

I have a really good idea for an interview style ebook, and not the dime-a-dozen type either.

My first question may be obvious: Time Management – tons of ideas for this book, but I can’t even seem to start it. Any thoughts you might have on how to maybe do a little here and there without taking 2 years would be greatly appreciated.

Question 2: I’d like to give my “interviewees” the choice of either audio or text. I know relatively nothing about audio in this manner. I may have too hire someone, or at the very least, buy a bunch of stuff.

Is it really worth it? Can I get a bigger response rate from perspective interviewees, and/or command a higher price for the book itself?

Any info on this is also greatly appreciated.

How do you really know if the product that you
create will be successful before you launch?
I have seen this mentioned before, but I just

focused until your product is done?

  28. Vickie says:

My question is this. Is it best to create ebook first, then go on to audio or video or just to do it all at once? And another, if you’re not an “expert” what are the best ways to get others to see you as one?

    Thanks!

As has been said by others, creating your own product is
not as simple as is often made out.Taking PLR ebooks and
changing them takes time and skill. If you are a good writer, then no problem. The best product in the world
requires an excellant sales letter.Good copy is a real
skill.I’d love you to prove me wrong.

I’ve got the basics down, but I can’t quite see how to use PLR products without having to spend too much time to tweak them into quality.

I don’t want to put a product out there with low quality, but I don’t want to spend incredible amounts of time editing PLR stuff to make them better quality than I’ve seen so far.

  31. Yes my friend, please reserve a copy for Frank the SmartSeller.

My new product is in final editing stage and I only have one doubt… Price!

    Too low = stupid!
    Too high = low sales

How do you judge the right price?

    Many thanks ahead of time.

“Yes, Aurelius! Give me a free copy”,

My question is how can I establish credibility as an expert in a niche that is fairly new to me? Why would anyone buy my product when there are already known established experts in that niche and I’m not one of them? Also, If I am creating products in niche markets that are completely unrelated to each other, shouldn’t I establish different pseudonyms for each niche? I mean the same person can’t be an expert in digital cameras and dog training and cajun recipes and credit repair too, right? How do I handle this? It looks like a logistical nightmare.

    Hi Aurelius,

Funny thing about timing some times. Have you heard that when you’re ready to learn something the teacher will show up…OR things happen for a reason at just the right time?

Well, you couldn’t have hit me with your product at a better time.

Just yesterday I joined a couple of PL sites to check out some of the products offered with Master and Private rights..

My partner Sean Lowery and I are trying to develop PLSecrets.com We want to set it up as a membership through Clickbank…

Each month we will add great products with rights included but we feel a little bit stuck…

We’re not sure of the best way to create the products (our first one was custom written by a ghost writer, but took a good bit of time)

We’re also stuck on putting together a good sales letter for the site as well.

It really doesn’t feel good being in this *stuck* mode.

    thanks buddy,
    Jerome

“Yes, Aurelius! Give me a free copy”!

When it comes to putting together a product, the technical issues are not the biggest hurdle. My struggle is to combine the niches I am passionate about with a hungry group of customers. When doing my research, I end up in a huge ocean with a small to no potential customer group. I hesitate to promote something that I am not familiar with nor passionate about.
I look forward to the new product you come up with from this effort!
I appreciate all your top information!

  38. Rita Jones says:

My problem is that I have a list which is fairly unresponsive. I have tried to build a rapore with my list, but am not getting any feedback. I do have a product ,my first, but it is something which can only be used here in the UK, even though my list is international, being an ezine subscription list. So I am having problems in both areas, unresponsive list, AND a
product with a specific catchment area. Am considering ditching the product, even though I do believe in it, due to it taking too long to float.

Second, how can I organize the massive files, both electronic & paper I’ve generated? I’m starting my IM career by article writing to gain both name recognition and credibility. I think Terri at no 73 hits the nail on the dot. We need hands on approach with video. From product inception to launch. Hence my issues:

How does one research on profitable topics out there. As i understand this is where the process should begin.

and how does one target the marketplace.

    thanx

  41. “Yes, Aurelius! Please send me a free copy”
Undoubtedly the main problem (for me) is the marketing of even good quality repackaged PLR material. My target is for a modest income from IM and I’ve no expectations of overnight riches!

  42. Dee says:

Biggest obstacle to achieving consistent product launch is capturing the details of suspects. As for the product creation itself, ideas come very easily. I would say that FOCUS is my main issue. Not staying with an idea, thought, or concept long enough to see the results.

In a way, I am also spoilt for choice in that over the years, I have accumulated virtually every tool for product creation and also do other things offline that are just as profitable. So, there you have it from me. I guess I am just a decision away from making up my mind I want to help others success on a continual basis.

    Thanks

  43. Chuck says:

“Yes, Aurelius! Give me a free copy”,

I tend to agree with many of the previous posts. Although there are so many questions that plague a struggling infopreneur when creating a product, I believe one of the most perplexing challenges would be what to charge the customer. You can’t base it on content because you can produce 500 pages of crap. You can’t base it on what you give them for the same reason. The movie “Heaven’s Gate” was 4 hours long, and bankrupt United Artist. There is no cookie cutter price set for product. Do you give more freebies if you think its priced too high? And, going back to the original question, how do you know what’s considered too high?

Thanks Aurelius for the opportunity to ask my question.

Sorry my last email was wrong….I left out a “0″.
    This is the correct one
My most pressing problem is being able to make a product in less time, and knowing the best products to make that will actually sell…Perhaps having a short demo guide that doesn’t take too long to get through would be great too

  46. Joan says:

“Yes, Aurelius! Give me a free copy”

I feel as though I have some expertise that would be valuable to share but get stuck with a couple of things… One is how to create the material so that it is professional and jam-packed with value and two is how to get through the process step-by-step. It seems overwhelming at times.

  47. Andy says:

“Yes, Aurelius! Give me a free copy”

The question I have, is how much time does it take to create a good product. I want to provide a quality creation that has value, but like everybody, my time is limited, and I must concentrate on spending it as wisely as possible . I know that it will take some effort, but will the ROI be worth the time spent?

  48. Jeff says:

My most pressing problem is determining whether my product ideas are going to be seen as valuable by potential cutomers. It’s this lack of surety that I’m actually producing something that they will want to buy.

I guess it’s a combination of identifying a good niche, whether there’s money in that niche, and what the customers in the niche want.

  49. dave says:

“Yes, Aurelius! Give me a free copy”

my main problem is at the beginning of the process – how to find a profitable niche and a product that they would want.
