Notes:

Traffic tip #1 – Build an email list. Everything you do should revolve around building your list and relationships. If you haven’t started building your list yet, make sure to get an autoresponder first.

Traffic tip #2 – Leverage on high traffic social media websites. Take advantage of social networking and social bookmarking websites like Twitter. Bookmark your website(s) and blog posts using Social Marker.

Traffic tip #3 – Start a blog to generate long term traffic thru search engines. Provide valuable and informative blog posts. Share your videos and photos on your blog to give it that personal touch, and show your readers that you’re a real person on the other end.

Traffic tip #4 – Write and submit articles to high traffic article directories such as EzineArticles.com , ArticleBase.com , GoArticles.com , ArticleDashboard.com and more

Traffic tip #5 – Start and recruit affiliates and joint-venture partners. Leverage and piggyback on marketers in your industry who already have established lists.

Hi Aurelius, I’m doing some goal setting for 2010. How many email signups per day (on average) is a realistic goal for July of this year if I start my blog now? Thanks for the advice.

Thanks guys!

@ David – Sure!

@ Brett – It depends on your market and how much traffic you’ll bring in. It can range from 1-50 sign ups a day. If it’s an authority blog, possibly 100+ sign ups /day

Sorry about the delayed follow up on this and thanks for the reply.

Do you have any ideas for getting people to spread your message once they’ve opted in for your email list?

Thanks for a great post! I will certainly acting on your advice about social bookmarking. But when it comes to writing and submitting articles, what is best? Should I post an article on my blog and then distribute the same article via article directories or should I make sure that the article on my blog is original and not duplicated anywhere else and write other articles to submit to directories?
